中国共产党在推进马克思主义中国化中,从大历史观深刻揭示当代中国的历史内涵与基础,提出“当代中国是历史中国的延续和发展”的重要命题,强调要从坚持正确历史观、树立正确党史观中认识和把握人类社会的历史、中国的历史特别是党史、新中国史、改革开放史和社会主义发展史。当代中国从历史中国的接续变动、变革和发展中走来,在自身建设和发展中走向未来,是历史中国合乎逻辑的延续和发展。
