《黄帝内经·素问》篇名英译对比研究

Contrastive Study on English Translation of the Titles in Huangdi Neijing-Su Wen

根据张登峰提出的“《黄帝内经》162篇命名规律”,在对《黄帝内经·素问》81篇篇名进行归类的基础上,对国内外4种不同英译本中篇名的翻译进行了对比,发现文树德以“直译为主”的翻译方法在体现标题的信息功能、美感功能、祈使功能方面效果较好。同时,探讨了文树德、李照国、倪毛信、吕聪明4位译者对于篇名中“论”“大论”“别论”的英译,建议将“论”译为“Discourse on…”,将“大论”译为“Major/Great Discourse on…”,将“别论”译为“Further Discourse on…”。

According to the 162 Naming Rules of Huangdi Neijing proposed by ZHANG Deng-feng,based on the classification of 81 titles of Huangdi Neijing-Su Wen,this paper compared the translation of titles in four different English versions at home and abroad,and found out that Paul Unschuld’s literal translation method had better effective in reflecting the information function,aesthetic function and imperative function of the title.At the same time,this paper discussed the English translation of"Lun","Da Lun"and"Bie Lun"in the title of the article by four translators,Unschuld,LI Zhao-guo,NI Mao-xin and LV Cong-ming.It suggested that"Lun"be translated into"discover on...","Da Lun"be translated into"major/great discover on...",and"Bie Lun"be translated into"further discover on...".
