培育学生公共参与精神:现代学校教育的重要任务

Cultivating Students’ Spirit of Public Participation:An Important Task of Modern Student Education

基于学生的社会公共人身份和现代社会治理方式的转变,学生必须更多地参与到各种公共事务中;同时,公共参与有助于学生个人的身份认同并形成归属感,从而促进其公共理性和德性的发展。公共参与是新时代学生发展的基本要求,也是学校教育现代性的重要实践。当前,由于受个人主义膨胀等因素的影响,一些学生缺乏公共参与精神,或消极参与,或功利参与。培育学生的公共参与精神,学校可以从以下方面着手:建构学校公共生活环境,促成学生公共参与启蒙;加强公共文化建设,增强学生公共责任感;教给学生公共知识和技能,奠定其公共参与信心;深化学生公共参与体验,升华其公共参与认知。

According to students’ social public identity and the governance mode transformation of modern society,students must participate more in all kinds of public affairs. At the same time,public participation helps students to identify themselves and form a sense of belonging,so as to promote the development of their public rationality and virtue. Public participation is not only the basic requirement of students in the new era,but also an important practice of students’ educational modernity. At present,due to the expansion of individualism and other factors,some students lack the spirit of public participation,or they participate negatively or with utility. To cultivate students’ spirit of public participation,schools can start from the following aspects: constructing the public living environment of schools to promote the enlightenment of students’ public participation;strengthening the construction of public culture to enhance students’ sense of public responsibility;teaching students public knowledge and skills to develop their confidence in public participation;and deepening students’ experience of public participation to sublimate their cognition of public participation.
