This paper aimed to simplify the COVID-19 impact on economic regulations and implications for international trade dynamics between China,Europe and North America. It concluded that the pandemic is expected to create new patterns of world trade, particularly in the manufacturing industry, creating more room for emerging economies, such as Mexico or the Central and Eastern European economies(CEEC),to take possible advantage of a new trade order. Moreover,China and the United States should take into account a new globalization rhythm in the upcoming years,so their foreign investment plans could be adjusted accordingly.Given the scarcity of academic research on COVID-19 trade impact, this paper contributed to elucidate preliminary trends and provided basis for further investigations.
