文学书写与关怀伦理交织使唐·德里罗小说《坠落的人》成为“9·11小说定义之作”,更成为诠释关怀伦理之代表作。亲人关怀乃伦理之始,尤其经历恐袭事件后,它让亲人回归家庭,重构家庭关怀伦理;社会关怀将关怀从亲人延至他人,既有效消解社会道德冷漠,又能重建社会关怀伦理;关怀关系因情境而变,并在文化、社会与政治等公共领域发挥作用,故有助于提升关怀伦理之维度。德里罗将历史事件在个人层面加以展现,从日常生活捕捉时代之灾难,既是其对恐袭事件的书写与诠释,又体现其对21世纪人类社会的人文关怀与伦理关怀。

The interweaving between literary writing and care ethics has made Don DeLillo’s Falling Man become“the defining novel of 9.11”,and his masterpiece of interpreting the care ethics.The familial care is primary for ethics.Especially when one experienced the 9.11 Event,such care has made one return back to his family and reconstruct the familial care ethics.And the social care has extended the care for family members to others.This will not only diminish the social indifference,but reconstruct social care ethics.The care has changed with social situation,and played its role in fields of society and politics.Accordingly,it is helpful to promote the dimensions of the ethic care.DeLillo retold the historical event from an individual perspective and captured the disaster from one’s daily life,which was the description and interpretation of the 9.11 Event as well as his humanistic care and ethic care for the human society in the 21st century.
