Holding the title of one of the biggest cities in the world, the densely populated Shanghai certainly isn't shy of apartments;homes in different shapes and sizes stretch far(and high) all across its iconic skyline. What makes Shanghai unique to me, is the presence of the old, charismatic lane houses. These lane houses, called shikumen.
