贸易便利化对出口产品质量的影响:促进还是抑制?

Effects of Trade Facilitation on the Quality of China's Exports:Promotions or Prohibitions?

本文探寻出口环境对出口产品质量的影响,从贸易便利化角度分析其对我国出口产品质量的作用机理,提出该影响是非线性的,并使用2008—2018年数据进行门槛效应验证。结果显示,出口目的国贸易便利化水平提升对我国出口产品质量总体表现为抑制作用,但真实影响受到出口目的国人均收入的调节作用,存在门槛效应。当出口目的国人均收入跨越门槛值后,其贸易便利化水平提升对我国出口产品质量的抑制作用明显减弱,并且最终转变为促进作用,呈现出U型特征。

This paper explores the impact of export environment on the quality of export products in order to provide suggestions for China's export dealing with the anti globalization of"post COVID-19 spread".It analyzes the mechanism of the effect on the quality of China's export products from the perspective of trade facilitation.It proposes that the effect is nonlinear and further makes an empirical analysis of its threshold effect by using data from year 2008 to 2018.Results show that,although trade facilitation level of the destination countries has an overall negative effect on the products quality of Chinese exports,the real impact varies according to different destination countries since they differ in income level.It proves that,being adjusted by the income level,trade facilitation affects the quality of China’s exports,and significant threshold effect occurs.When the per capita income of export destination countries crosses the threshold value,the inhibitory effect of the improvement of trade facilitation level on the quality of China's export products is significantly weakened,and finally turns into a promotion effect.
