The Spread of Leninism by The Chuin Chung Weekly During the Anti-Japanese War

《群众》周刊是抗日战争时期中国共产党在国统区公开出版的唯一理论刊物,是这一阶段传播列宁主义的重要载体。《群众》周刊阐释了列宁关于无产阶级政党和无产阶级专政的理论、民主革命的理论和帝国主义论以及社会主义建设的理论,厘清了列宁主义的基本问题。为传播列宁主义,《群众》周刊译介列宁主义的经典文献,扩大列宁主义的影响;连载联共(布)党史和苏联史的辅助材料,阐述列宁主义的形成过程;在列宁和十月革命的纪念日刊发文章,阐明列宁主义的理论意义、历史意义和现实意义。在传播列宁主义的过程中,《群众》周刊宣传列宁的革命导师形象,为马克思主义中国化提供范例,推动了抗日战争的胜利和中国革命的发展。

As the only theoretical journal of the CPC in the Kuomintang-controlled areas during the Anti-Japanese War, The Chuin Chung Weekly was an important media of Leninism’s spread in China in this period. It explained Lenin’s theory of proletarian party and proletarian dictatorship, democratic revolution, imperialism and socialist construction, which clarified the basic issues of Leninism. In order to spread Leninism, The Chuin Chung Weekly translated and introduced the classical documents of Leninism, which expanded the influence of Leninism. It also serialized supplementary materials on the history of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union(Bolsheviks) and Soviet history, which sorted out the formation process of Leninism;by publishing articles on the anniversary of Lenin and the October Revolution, it expounded the theoretical, historical and practical significance of Leninism. By spreading Leninism, The Chuin Chung Weekly propagated the image of Lenin as a revolutionary mentor, provided an example for the Sinicization of Marxism and guided the victory of Anti-Japanese War and the development of the Chinese revolution.
