“Moving north”has been the main road in modern Japan’s expansion.Granulated sugar’s need of producing and consumption drove Japan to make experiment plantation and transportation in the north while the empire was expanding.Japan made a series of deployment and construction according to local natural environment after conquering the Northeast of China, hoping the granulated sugar could meet local needs and be exported for earning economic profile like soya bean, cotton and tobacco. However, the Northeast of China’s granulated sugar industry failed to develop to industry chain like Taiwan or islands in South Seas because of some reasons including the lack of farming knowledge, climate disaster, the oppress of other fields, predatory production mode and continuously extending war of aggression against China, which ended with failure. The process that Japan ran granulated sugar industry in the Northeast of China reflected the truth of its colonization policy truth and loses during its expansion.
