中美兽医专业实践教学的比较与分析

Comparison and Analysis of Chinese and American Practice Teaching in Veterinary Major

随着动物在人们生活中扮演角色的变换,社会对兽医的能力也提出新的要求。兽医专业的显著特点是较强的实践性,提高学生实践能力对促进大学生就业和培养应用型兽医人才具有重要意义。我国传统的兽医教学中存在重理论,轻实践的现象。从教学设置、教学内容、考核方式、社会宣传等方面介绍了美国密西西比州立大学在兽医实践教学中的一些经验。另外,客观分析了我国目前在兽医实践教学中的现状,两国进行比较后,在课程比例、教学方法、队伍建设等方面提出一些相关措施,以期为我国兽医专业的实践教学改革提供思路。

With the changing role of animals in people’s lives,new demands are being placed on the abilities of veterinarians.The remarkable characteristic of veterinary specialty is its strong practicality.It is of great significance to improve students’practical ability,promote college students’employment and cultivate applied veterinary talents.Traditional veterinary teaching in our country has the phenomenon of attaching importance to theory and neglecting practice.This paper introduces some experiences in the practice teaching of veterinary medicine in Mississippi State University from the aspects of teaching system,teaching content,examination method and social publicity.In addition,this paper objectively analyzes the current situation of veterinary practice teaching in China.After comparison between the two countries,it puts forward some relevant measures including course proportion,teaching methods and team construction,in order to provide ideas for the reform of veterinary practice teaching in China.
