摘要
Tacheng in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is where you want to be if watching accordions is your thing. By compressing and expanding the bellows while pressing buttons and keys, the players create beautiful melodies, and passersby sing and move to the rhythm. Home to multiple ethnic groups, Xinjiang has nurtured a wealth of music from an array of instruments, including accordions. Many touching stories have been preserved through musical notes, and a Tacheng music story is about Dauran Dusanqan, an accordionist who has been devoting his life to the promotion and preservation of accordions.
