近现代中国内忧外患的现实处境促使学者们多在楚辞研究著作中阐发民族主义精神。民族主义精神引领下的楚辞研究既有形塑民族精神、激励国民士气的积极意义,但也存在屏蔽真理、阻碍学术求真的消极影响。从中可见,人文社会科学研究不仅具有“工具理性”,更具有“价值理性”。研究者不宜冷冰冰地解构民族文化,而应以“了解之同情”态度温和对待古史,也应理性、宽容地对待学术争鸣。

The realistic situation of domestic and foreign troubles in modern China has prompted scholars to expound the spirit of nationalism in the study of Chuci.The study of Chuciunder the guidance of the nationalist spirit not only has the positive meaning of shaping the national spirit and stimulating the morale of the people,but also has the negative influence of shielding the truth and hindering the academic truth.It can be seen from this that humanities and social science research not only has"instrumental rationality",but also has"value rationality".Researchers should not deconstruct the national culture coldly,but should treat ancient history with a gentle attitude of"understanding sympathy",and should also treat academic disputes rationally and tolerantly.
