中外医学类期刊科学可视化设计比较研究

Comparative Research on the Scientific Visualization Design of Chinese and Foreign Medical Journals

采用个案研究和内容分析法,以《柳叶刀》《美国医学会杂志》《中华医学会杂志(英文版)》在新冠肺炎疫情期间的刊文为例,了解国内外医学期刊科学可视化设计的现状与规律。研究发现,新冠肺炎疫情期间,国内外医学期刊都注重数据可视化,强调可视化设计的具象表达。国外医学期刊比国内医学期刊可视化形式更多样化,在医学知识可视化设计与科普上积累了较多经验。国内医学期刊应重视科学可视化设计,提高可视化设计的审美性,探索丰富多样的科学可视化表现形式,作者、期刊社可以加强与专业设计师或设计科系的合作,提升医学研究与期刊的可视化设计能力,在科学可视化设计中探索与AR、VR等新技术融合出版形态。

Using case study and content analysis method,taking The Lancet,JAMA,Chinese Medical Journal as examples,the authors tried to understand the status and laws of scientific visualization design of medical journals in China and foreign countries.They found that during the COVID-19 period,domestic and foreign medical journals emphasized data visualization and emphasized the concrete expression of visual design.Foreign medical journals have more diversified forms of visualization,more practical experience in the design and popularization of medical knowledge than domestic medical journals.Domestic medical journals should pay attention to scientific visual design,improve the aesthetics of visual design,and explore a variety of scientific visual expressions.The authors and journal offices can strengthen cooperation with professional designers or design departments to improve the visual design capabilities of journals.The integration of new technologies such as AR and VR in scientific visual design should also be explored.
