Preprint is a kind of electronic publication with the rise of the Internet.Compared with traditional paper publications,preprint makes the technical content public without peer review.The disclosure of preprint technology brings great challenges to the novelty examination of patent applications.Therefore,it is necessary to specify the grace period of novelty in the relevant patent law,so as to meet the needs of the development of science and technology,and balance the patent law and scientific research.
