Modernity Research and Academic Construction of Jin Yong’s Novels

金庸小说的现代性发生在20世纪现代文学这个大的时代背景下,作为通俗文学的代表,与主流文学相互补充,成为20世纪文学现代化进程中不可或缺的部分。金庸小说的现代性主要表现在现代启蒙意识下的世俗狂欢与制度建设、现代审美意识中的人性异变和多元空间中的身份认同、历史书写中的总体现代性道路3个方面。金庸小说表现出了独特的现代性品格,并从中衍生出现代性进程中的两个关键问题:一是金庸小说现代性与武侠小说入史的关系;二是后金庸时代现代性的变异和网络空间中多元价值的崛起。当然,虽然现代性研究已经取得了一定成绩,但是仍然存在武侠类型意识缺乏和现代性阐释限于精英文学批评框架内等不足。

The modernity of Jin Yong’s novels occurred in the context of the modern literature of the 20th century.As a representative of popular literature,they complemented the mainstream literature and became an indispensable part of the modernization of literature in the 20th century.The modernity of Jin Yong’s novels is mainly manifested in three aspects:the secular carnival and system construction under the consciousness of modern enlightenment,the abnormal changes of human nature in modern aesthetic consciousness,the identity in multiple spaces,and the overall modernity path in historical writing.Jin Yong’s novels exhibit a unique modern character,and two key issues in the process of modernity are derived from it:one is the relationship between the modernity of Jin Yong’s novels and the entry of martial arts novels into history;the other is the variation and network of modernity in the post-Jin Yong era The rise of multiple values in space.Of course,although some achievements have been made in modernity research,there are still shortcomings such as the lack of awareness of martial arts types and the limitation of modernity interpretation within the framework of elite literary criticism.
