China's Maintenance of the Rights and Interests of South China Sea Since the 18th CPC National Congress

党的十八大以来,针对中国南海权益维护面临的日益复杂的局势,中国政府一改多年来在南海问题上的克制、忍让、谨慎的立场,采取一系列果断措施,加强对中国南海主权、主权权利和管辖权的维护和管理,向国际社会展示了维护南海领土主权和海洋权益的坚定意志和决心。与此同时,以“双轨思路”,积极推动与南海各方通过谈判协商解决争议,通过规则机制管控分歧,通过互利合作实现共赢;并与域外国家开展外交博弈,压缩其寻求介入南海问题的空间。

The Chinese government takes a series of decisive measures to strengthen the maintenance and management of sovereign rights and jurisdiction over the south China sea since the CPC 18th national congress with the more serious situation the Chinese south China sea rights and interests being faced,changing the restraint,cautious stance on the issue of the south China sea taken over the years,which shows the international community the will and determination of it to maintain the territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.In the meantime,the Chinese government actively promotes the settlement of disputes through negotiation and consultation with the parties in the south China sea by the"dual-track approach",managing differences through rules and mechanisms,and achieves win-win outcomes through mutually beneficial cooperation.Moreover,it plays a diplomatic game with other countries outside the region to compress its space to intervene in the south China sea issue.
