Why Does Rural Land Transfer Affect the Urban Integration of Rural Floating Population?

本文根据2017年流动人口动态监测数据和278个城市数据的匹配数据,考察农地流转对农村流动人口城市融入的影响及其作用机制。研究发现,农地流转和流转租金有助于提升农村流动人口城市融入。工具变量法克服内生性问题后,这一结论仍然成立。进一步机制分析表明,农地流转通过"非农就业层次效应"影响农村流动人口城市融入,即农地流转提升了农村流动人口在城市高层次非农就业的概率,进而促使其更好地融入城市。未来要高度重视农地流转对人口城镇化的助推作用,在制度层面进一步完善农地交易市场,推动流转交易规范运行。

Based on the latest monitoring data of floating population in 2017 and the matching data of 278 cities,this paper examines the impact of rural land transfer on the urban integration of rural floating population and its mechanism.It is found that the transfer of rural land and transfer rent help to promote the integration of rural floating population into the city.Further mechanism analysis shows that rural land transfer affects the urban integration of rural floating population through the"non-agricultural employment level effect",that is,rural land transfer improves the probability of high-level non-agricultural employment of rural floating population in the city,and then promotes their better integration into the city.In the future,we should attch great importance to the boosting effect of rural land transfer on population urbanization,further improve the rural land transaction market at the institutional level,and promote the standardized operation of the rural land transfer transaction.
