Advantages and Difficulties of the Application of Learning Dashboard in Adult Online Learning

大数据时代,分析技术在全球各领域得到广泛运用。在教育领域,一种新型学习支持工具——学习仪表盘(Learning Dashboard)应运而生。在阐述学习仪表盘的特征及功能的基础上,分析了学习仪表盘在成人在线学习中的应用优势与困境,提出具有提升成人学习效率、凸显成人学习个性、满足成人学习需求以及契合成人学习行为等优势的同时,也认为存在相关收集技术和分析方法的限制、理论体系亟待建立和完善、制度和管理能力不足、忽视教学、分析结果不够准确可信、隐私泄露以及伦理问题。

In the era of big data,analysis technique has been widely used in various fields all over the world.In the field of education,a new kind of learning support tool—Learning Dashboard has emerged.Based on the characteristics and functions of Learning Dashboard,this paper analyzes the advantages and difficulties of the application of Learning Dashboard in adult online learning,and puts forward the advantages of improving adult learning efficiency,highlighting adult learning individuality,meeting the demand of adult learning and agreeing with adult learning behavior and so on.At the same time,there are some difficulties such as the limitation of related collection techniques and analysis methods,the urgent establishment and improvement of the theoretical system,the lack of institution and management ability,the neglect of teaching,the inaccurate and incredible analysis results,the leakage of privacy and the existence of ethical problems.
