芜湖英驻芜领事署旧址建筑群历史变迁研究(1877—1919)

History Research of British Consulate and Commissioner of Customs House in 1877-1919 in Wuhu

位于安徽省芜湖市镜湖区的范罗山和雨耕山上有四栋近代西式建筑,2013年四栋建筑合并被国务院公布为全国重点文物保护单位:英驻芜领事署旧址。然而,这处文保单位的文化内涵不仅是芜湖近代英国外交机构,而且是芜湖近代历史上曾经出现过的重要的海关行政机构税务司署所在地。该文结合现有的芜湖近代历史文献资料以及近年来搜集到的外文资料这两个方面的内容,研究近代英驻芜领事署旧址建筑群的历史变迁,目的在于理清其中各建筑遗存之间错综复杂的关系。

There are four modern western style buildings on Fanluo hill and Yugeng hill in Jinghu District,Wuhu,Anhui.In 2013,the four buildings were merged and announced by the State Councilas a Key Cultural Relic Unit under National Protection:The former site of British Consulate in Wuhu.However,the cultural connotation of this unit is not only the modern British diplomatic agency in Wuhu,but also the location of the tax department,an important customs administrative agency in Wuhu modern history.We study the historical changes of the former site of the British Consulate in Wuhu in recent years,combining with the existing modern historical documents and foreign language materials collected in recent years,in order to clarify the complicated relationship among the architectural remains.
