Binding Energy of an Exciton in the Quantum Dot Under a Magnetic Field

摘要 The author reports on a calculation of the binding energy of the ground and some excited states of excitons in parabolic quantum dots in the presence of an external magnetic field. Calculations are made by using the method of few-body physics within the effective-mass approximation. The results are obtained for several strength values of the magnetic field as a function of the quantum dot radius.
