Peter Newmark,a British translation theorist,is an important fi gure in the fi eld of contemporary translation theory.He applied linguistics-related theories to translation practice,and extensively and comprehensively analyzed and discussed many issues in translation from different perspectives.In recent years,with the development of economic globalization,cross-border e-commerce is constantly changing people's production and lifestyle.This article will analyze the characteristics and strategic choices of current English translation of cross-border e-commerce from the perspective of Newmark's translation theory.
