摘要
清代张庚《国朝画征录》、李斗《扬州画舫录》、汪鋆《扬州画苑录》均未记载闵贞。民国年间陈衡恪《中国绘画史》、郑昶《中国画学全史》等列闵贞为"扬州八怪"画家。后来黄俶成、卞孝萱提出闵贞不属于扬州八怪观点,但以师承关系考定画派是美术史的惯例,并且结合地域、时代、行踪、交游等方面考察,闵贞当属"八怪"之列。
Min Zhen was not recorded in Qing Dynasty in Guochao Painting Collection by Zhang Geng,Yangzhou Huafang Collection by Li Dou,nor Yangzhou Huayuan Collection by Wang Fan.During the period of the Republic of China,both History of Chinese Painting by Chen Hengke and Complete History of Chinese Painting by Zheng Chang listed Min Zhen as one of the“Eight Peculiar Artists in Yangzhou”.Later,Huang Chucheng and Bian Xiaoxuan put forward the view that Min Zhen did not belong to the“Eight Peculiar Artists in Yangzhou”.However,it was a convention in the history of art that to determine a painting school based on the relationship between teachers and successors,and combining with the investigation of region,era,travelling and friendships,Min Zhen was one of the“Eight Peculiar Artists in Yangzhou”。
