A Jury’s Observation of the 2021“Lotus Award”Dance Competition

本文以2021年"荷花奖"舞蹈比赛为观察对象,围绕其中折射出的中国现代舞和当代舞的概念与命名问题进行探讨。首先,就舞种的发生时间探讨两者在概念和事实两个层面与"原生概念"之间的区别,进而指出近年来中国当代舞编创主体的"消解"现象及其与现实题材舞蹈的相同之处。其次,从编创者思维出发,分析比赛中以创作者自我体认进行舞种认定带来的模糊现象,提出独立思想、现代舞编创原理与编创价值之于现代舞创作的要义。最后,结合"舞蹈明星""现代舞人""先锋者"等多种身份,从舞者资质、作品选择等方面探讨自我体认现象产生的诸多因素,提出好的舞蹈作品应具备无关舞种的情感张力与决定作品风骨的个人修养。

As an observation of the 2021"Lotus Award"dance competition,this paper focuses on the concept and naming of Chinese modern dance and Chinese contemporary dance.Firstly,it discusses the differences between Chinese modern dance and Chinese contemporary dance and their"prototype concepts"at the levels of concept and fact at the time of occurrence,and then points out the disappearance of the choreographer in Chinese contemporary dance and its similarities with realistic dance.Secondly,starting with the mindset of the choreographer,this paper analyzes the ambiguity in the classification of dance types based on the creator’s self-recognition,and stresses the importance of independent thinking,the principles of modern dance choreography and the value of choreography to modern dance creation.Finally,mentioning various identities such as"dance star,""modern dancer"and"pioneer,"this paper discusses the factors of self-recognition from the perspectives of dancers’qualification and selection of works.Then it insists that good dance works should also have the kind of emotional tension which is irrelevant to the dance type and the personal factor that determines the character of the work.
