Reflections on the“Chinese School”of Dance Studies——An Interview with Dance Theorist and Critic Lyu Yisheng(2)

2019年,吕艺生老师迎来了从事舞蹈事业的第70个年头。作为中国舞蹈界德高望重的前辈,他拥有很多艺术和学术头衔,但在诸多学生看来,他在生活上仍是一位"可爱的白发少年"。无论是当演员、编导,还是成为管理者、学者,终身学习、独立思考是吕艺生一生的追求。作为一位对中国舞蹈事业的发展具有奠基作用和开拓性贡献的舞蹈教育家、理论家,一位有着独立思考意识、擅于思辨、会讲故事的艺术家,同时也是一位舞蹈理论型评论家,他是如何成为舞蹈理论集大成者的?他的舞蹈思想和理论体系又是如何形成的?本文带着这些问题对吕艺生舞蹈学学术生涯展开专访,并将访谈内容分为上、下两篇,分别涉及吕艺生舞蹈学学术生涯的两个侧面:一是吕艺生对中国舞蹈实践的理论透视;二是吕艺生对"中国学派"舞蹈理论体系的思考。其中,"反向交替"是他对中西舞蹈文化现象的概括,"当代中国舞风"是他对当代中国特有的舞蹈现象的理论总结,而"大舞蹈观"则是他始终坚守的立场。

By 2019,Lyu Yisheng had spent 70 years in dance.As a highly regarded senior of the Chinese dance community,he has earned many art and academic titles,but many students still regard him as a"lovely grey-haired teenager."Whether as an actor,a choreographer,a manager,or a scholar,Lyu Yisheng is firmly committed to independent thinking and is serious about lifelong learning.As a pioneering dance educator and theorist,Lyu Yisheng has made great contributions to the development of dance in New China.He is an artist well known for his critical thinking and excellent storytelling skills.At the same time,he is an accomplished dance theorist and critic.How has he made it?How has he developed his system of dance theory?Around these questions regarding his dance career,the author had an interview with Lyu Yisheng which is divided into two parts:first,Lyu Yisheng’s theoretical examination of Chinese dance,and second,his views on the dance theory system labeled as"Chinese School."One of his views is called"reverse alternation,"which is his generalization of Chinese and Western dance phenomena,another is the"contemporary Chinese style",his theoretical summary of contemporary Chinese dance phenomena,and a third is called a"broader concept of dance"which is his long-held position.
