百年前历史和人民选择马克思主义,是在中西文明双双陷入困境之际,中国先进分子走在时代前列,以为人民谋幸福为根本,着眼人类前途命运,努力探求"第三新文明"的结果。在这一追求下孕育而生的中国共产党,成立伊始就以建设一个"文明先进的中国"为己任,将中华民族复兴伟业深深扎根于为人民谋幸福的基础之上,放在服务于全人类共同发展的视野之中,历经百年奋斗,既获得了全国人民的衷心拥护,又呈现出面向世界面向未来的广阔发展前景,从而开辟出一条为中国人民谋幸福、为中华民族谋复兴、为世界谋大同的中国特色社会主义崭新文明之路。

The historical choice of Marxism by the people one hundred years ago was made at a time when both Chinese and Western civilizations were in trouble.Chinese activists were at the forefront of the times,thinking that the people’s pursuit of happiness was fundamental.While focused on the future and destiny of mankind,they were striving to pursue"a third new civilization".With this pursuit,the Communist Party of China(CPC)was born.From its establishment,the CPC aimed to build a"civilized and advanced China",base the great national rejuvenation of the Chinese people upon the pursuit of the people’s happiness and benefit the common development of humanity.Over the one hundred years of struggle,the CPC has won the appraisal and support of the nation and illustrated a development perspective for the future of the world.Therefore,the CPC has paved a road for a new socialist civilization with Chinese characteristics,which seeks happiness and rejuvenation for the Chinese people,and also strives for the common ground of the world.
