“Broken Love” as an “Event”: On the Love Narrative in Movies of the Transition Era in 1980s

20世纪80年代转折期电影的爱情叙事,在处理"历史/当下"题材时,主要表现为歌颂无私奉献与批判情感交易两条路径。前者以崇高的牺牲弥合历史创伤,后者借由当代青年的情感困境,展现了诸多现实问题。以"失恋"作为剖析爱情叙事的事件性视角,可以发现失去崇高爱情在影片中实际上意味着一种创伤转写;而对现实爱情来说,则是以失败的结果反证了以情感交易改变个人处境的意义。在此过程中",爱情"的政治意味得以呈现。

The love narrative of films in the transition period of the 1980 s,when dealing with the theme of"past/present",were mainly manifested as two paths of praising selfless contributions and criticizing emotional exchanges.The former tried to compensate for historical scars with great sacrifices,while the latter attempted to display various realistic problems by referring to the emotional difficulties of the contemporary youth.From the perspective of analyzing the events of"broken love"as the love narrative,the loss of sublime love actually implies a description of historical scars in movies.However,with respect to realistic love,the result of the failure proved the significance of changing individual situations by emotional exchange.In this process,the political implication of"love"was exhibited.
