毛泽东民族平等团结思想是马克思主义民族理论中国化的第一项创新成果。这项成果来自全面实践"四个理念"、彻底推翻"三座大山"、衔接新旧"两个社会"的数十年革命斗争历程,成功帮助各族人民建立了中华人民共和国的大家庭,各族同胞从而并肩携手"站起来";同时,毛泽东民族平等团结思想还给后人留下了"一个使命":持续推进马克思主义民族理论中国化,构建中国特色社会主义的民族理论体系。

Mao Zedong’s thoughts on ethnic equality and unity is the first innovative achievement of the Sinicization of Marxist ethnic theory in a century of party history.This result comes from comprehensively practicing the four ethos,overthrowing completely the three mountains,and connecting several decades’revolutionary struggles lasting from the old society to the new society,and successfully helps people from all ethnic groups to build up the big family of the People’s Republic of China,since then people from all ethnic groups stand up side-by-side.At the same time,Mao Zedong’s thoughts on ethnic equality and unity has left one mission to the next generation,that is to keep pushing forward the Sinicization of Marxist ethnic theory and to construct the ethnic theory system of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
