Internal Friction in Bi-material Specimens

摘要 A new kind of bi-material specimen is employed in an inverted torsion pendulum to study the internal friction in liquids,and especially in materials during liquid-solid or solid-liquid transitions.Vibration systems containing a bi-material specimen with a solid or a liquid inner material can be described by using a modified three-parameter mechanical model.The theoretical results agree well with experimental data.
