摘要
磁流体是一种新型功能材料,其兼具液体的流动性和固体磁性材料的磁性。磁流体通常显示出超顺磁性,在外磁场作用下能够磁化,形成光学各向异性,最终产生磁光效应。磁光效应一般指磁流体的双折射效应、二向色性、法拉第旋转,在本实验中主要采用微流控技术研究磁性液体的双折射效应。其光学特性极其重要,因此磁流体在很多磁光器件中有着很广泛的应用。
Magnetic fluid is a new type of functional material,which has both the fluidity of liquid and the magnetism of solid magnetic materials.Magnetic fluid usually exhibits superparamagnetism and can be magnetized under the action of an external magnetic field to form optical anisotropy,and finally produce magneto-optical effects.The magneto-optical effect generally refers to the birefringence effect,dichroism,and Faraday rotation of the magnetic fluid.In this experiment,the microfluidic technology is mainly used to study the birefringence effect of the magnetic fluid.Its optical properties are extremely important,so the magnetic fluid has a wide range of applications in many magneto-optical devices.
