The Image of the Virgin in Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s Works

芥川龙之介是日本近代杰出的小说家。他的作品中有许多东西方文化的交流与碰撞,“玛利亚观音”就是这种文化交流的一种产物。本文通过对比芥川龙之介笔下的圣母形象与基督教文化中的圣母形象,进而对芥川创作的“玛利亚观音”形象做进一步分析。

Ryunosuke Akutagawa is an outstanding novelist in modern Japan.There are many cultural exchanges and collisions between eastern and western cultures in his works.“Maria Avalokitesvara”is one of the products of such cultural exchanges.This paper makes a further analysis of the image of“Maria Avalokitesvara”created by Ryunosuke Akutagawa by comparing the image of the Virgin Mary in Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s works with the image of the Virgin Mary in Christian culture.
