分级教学背景下大学英语课堂语码转换实证分析

An Empirical Analysis on Code-switching in College English Classroom under the Background of Graded Teaching

分级教学如今已经成为国内大学英语教学的一个普遍现象,而不同层级课堂中教师语码转换的语用功能与学生的诉求也有一定差异.通过调查问卷和话语分析等方法,研究发现不同层级的学生对于语码转换现象普遍较为认可,但是不同级别的学生对于语码转换的需求有所不同.总体上而言,学生的英语水平较高,课堂语码转换可以“教学属性”语用功能为主,如果学生的英语水平较低,则应该适度增加“人际关系属性”的语用功能,缓解学生的紧张和焦虑情绪.教师应该根据学生的不同情况,灵活使用语码转换的各种语用功能,以取得最好的教学效果.

Graded teaching has become a common phenomenon in Chinese college English teaching.However,there are some differences between the pragmatic functions of teachers'code-switching and students'demands at different levels of the classroom.Through questionnaire and discourse analysis methods,the research found that students at different levels generally accepted the phenomenon of code-switching,but their requirements varied.Generally speaking,if students'English level is quite high,the pragmatic functions of classroom code-switching could mainly comprise of"teaching attribute".If students'English level is low,teachers should moderately increase the pragmatic function of the"interpersonal relationship attribute"to relieve students'tension and anxiety.To achieve the best teaching effect,teachers should use various pragmatic functions of code-switching flexibly according to the different situations of students.
