The research analyzes the reform strategy of track and field course in universities oriented by interest,introduces the track and field teaching situation of all universities in the present stage,and proposes reasonable reform strategies,i.e.to optimize the target of track and field teaching,adopt rich and interesting teaching form;make student feel the interest of track and field while grasping sports skills,achieve substantial effect;and optimize the teaching content of track and field course teaching through the combination of the requirement of the new era.Track and field course reform in universities oriented by interest has important significance for the implement of sports qualify-oriented education,and it can comprehensively promote the sports quality of the students.
