ESP教学在英语分级教学中的必要性及其对策

The Necessity and Countermeasures of ESP Teaching in English Classification Teaching

随着社会经济的发展,我国的国际贸易逐渐发展起来,一方面为我国的发展提供了更多发展机遇,另一方面也提高了我国参与国际贸易的难度,其中最为显著方面便是交流问题。因此,在当前的发展路程上,我国逐渐提高对外语学习和培训的力度,改变外语教育方式,反映在大学英语学习上则是采用ESP教学。大学以前,英语教学主要以应试教育为主,主要目的便是提高学生的英语成绩,从而力求在高考中发挥出色,而到了大学,则更加重视实际英语,如即时翻译和商务英语等,由理论学习过渡到实际应用学习。在当前我国大学英语教学过程中,主要采用英语分级教育,通过实行合理的分级,从而做到针对性的英语教学,该方式便是所谓的ESP教学。该文通过初步探讨ESP教学的含义,结合其发展过程中存在的问题,探索出相关解决措施,期望能够为高校英语教学发展提供参考。

With the development of social economy,my country’s international trade has gradually developed.On the one hand,it provides more development opportunities for my country’s development,but on the other hand,it also increases the difficulty of my country’s participation in international trade.One of the notable aspects is communication issues.Therefore,in the current course of development,my country has gradually increased the intensity of foreign language learning and training,and changed the way of foreign language education,which is reflected in the use of ESP teaching in college English learning.Before university,English teaching was mainly based on test-oriented education.The main purpose was to improve students’ English scores,so as to strive to perform well in the college entrance examination.When they arrived at university,they paid more attention to actual English,such as instant translation and business English.Transition from theoretical study to practical application study.In the current process of college English teaching in my country,English graded education is mainly adopted,and targeted English teaching can be achieved by implementing reasonable grades.This method is called ESP teaching.This article initially explores the meaning of ESP teaching,combines the problems in its development process,and explores relevant solutions,hoping to provide references for the development of college English teaching.
