20世纪50年代,慕生忠在带领2000多名员工历经千难万险修筑青藏公路的过程中,形成了不朽的慕生忠开路精神。习近平总书记于2014年提出的关于“两路”精神的重要论述,十分精辟地阐明了慕生忠开路精神的丰富内涵。慕生忠和他领导的筑路团队,在修筑青藏公路的过程中,积极发扬一不怕苦、二不怕死的艰苦奋斗精神;不屈不挠、顽强拼搏的英勇斗争精神;默默坚守、甘当路石的无私奉献精神;军民一家、民族团结的团结互助精神,战胜了青藏高原恶劣的地质和气候环境,用七个月零四天实现了青藏公路的全线通车,创造了辉煌的人间奇迹。

In the 1950s,the process of Mu Shengzhong leading more than 2000 employees to build the Qinghai Tibet highway formed the immortal spirit of opening the Qinghai Tibet highway by Mu Shengzhong.General secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on the spirit of Sichuan-Tibet Highway and Qinghai-Tibet Highway which was put forward in 2014 is a brilliant exposition of the rich connotation of the spirit of opening the Qinghai Tibet highway by Mu Shengzhong.In the process of building the Qinghai Tibet highway,Mu Shengzhong and his road construction team actively carried forward the spirit of hard struggle,indomitable and tenacious struggle,selfless dedication,unity and mutual assistance of the army and the people,and national unity.They overcame the harsh geological and climatic environment of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and successfully opened the Qinghai Tibet highway to traffic in seven months and four days,which created a brilliant miracle in the world.
