From Tribute to Treaty:A Comparison of Trade Between China and Japan to Korea Before and After the Sino Japanese War

中国自古以来就与朝鲜有着贸易往来和文化交流,并在历史上产生了积极的影响。本文阐述了19世纪末中朝两国贸易从朝贡体系到条约体系的发展与转变,并在此基础上对中朝贸易关系的总体情况进行分析和归纳,同时将中日对朝贸易情况进行对比分析。研究表明,中朝贸易从朝贡体系向条约体系转变的过程中,中朝双方贸易有了快速的发展,有利于遏制日本在东亚扩张的速度,对于整个东北亚地区做出了很大的贡献,也为双方提供了便利。

China has had trade relations and cultural exchanges with North Korea since ancient times, and has had a positive impact on history. This paper describes the development and transformation of trade between China and Korea from the tribute system to the treaty system at the end of the 19th century. It also analyzes and summarizes the overall situation of trade relations between China and Korea on this basis, while analyzing the general situation of trade relations between China and Japan in this historical process, and makes a comparative analysis of the trade situation between China and Japan in Korea. The study shows that the transformation of trade between China and Korea from the tribute system to the treaty system has led to a rapid development of trade between two countries, which is conducive to curbing the rate of Japanese expansion in East Asia, and making a great contribution to the whole Northeast Asia region, as well as providing convenience for both sides.
