伊拉克作家伊本·穆格法以印度《五卷书》为原本编纂的阿拉伯寓言故事集《卡里来与笛木乃》,在阿拉伯文学史上占有非常重要的地位。自五四时期以来,其在中国受到译界广泛的关注,迄今已有多种译本,并对中国文学的发展,特别是少数民族寓言文学和儿童文学的发展与成熟产生了广泛而深远的影响。

Iraqi writer Ibnal-Mugafa’s collection of Arabic fables Kalilah Wa Dimnah,originally compiled according to the The Panchatanra,occupies a very important position in the history of Arabic literature.Since the May Fourth Movement,it has attracted wide attention in translation circles in China.Up to now,there have been many versions,which have exerted a wide and far-reaching influence on the development of Chinese literature,especially the development and maturity of fable literature of ethnic minorities and children’s literature.
