非洲有悠久的仲裁历史传统,随着非洲仲裁市场的日趋成熟,涉及非洲国家的仲裁案件明显增多。为了营造一个更加稳定、可靠、有利于仲裁蓬勃发展的环境,非洲许多国家和地区制定了现代化仲裁法,以建立完整的仲裁体系并使仲裁裁决有效执行,同时设立了许多高水平的仲裁机构,以提高该地区仲裁机构的国际影响力。目前,非洲的仲裁环境正在改善,但要成为当事人解决涉非纠纷的首选,非洲仲裁的发展仍任重道远。

Africa has a long tradition of arbitration.As the market becomes more mature,the number of arbitration cases involving African countries has increased significantly.To build an environment which is more stable and reliable and is conducive to the flourishing development,many countries and regions in Africa modernize arbitration laws to establish a complete system of arbitration and an effective enforcement procedure.Meanwhile,many high-level institutions of arbitration have been set up in Africa to improve the international influences of arbitration in the region.Up to now,the environment of arbitration in Africa has been improving.However,the arbitration in Africa still has a long way to go to become the first choice for the parties when solving disputes involving Africa.
