摘要
爬梳"十七年"(1949-1966)时期文学翻译批评的发生、路向与进程,于刊物言说空间之外,引入译家的书信和日记,可以打开另一类混沌、散逸的文学翻译批评场域。其中既蕴藏着诸译家的翻译诗学,且与公开的文学译场充满着错杂的张力关系。译家书信、日记中的文学翻译批评短小零散而不失灵动,亦不乏调侃、随意抑或冷嘲、偏激的一面,自有一股淋漓的生气和隐匿的译家心史贯注其内。这都昭显出"十七年"文学翻译批评的殊异路径、驳杂涵容与复调进程。
Turning attention from formally published treatises to informally exchanged comments made in translators’ correspondence and diaries opens up a less than orderly and yet richly informative vista for grasping China’s literary translation studies from 1949 to 1966. In those short, lively and often fragmented comments, one gets a sharp sense not only of the translation-related poetics personally subscribed to by those concerned, but also their ambivalent and sometimes tension-filled relationship with the public discourse on literary translation. What those alternative source materials reveal is a scene of literary translation criticism during the first 17 years in PRC’s history that was more diverse and polyphonic than it has been perceived so far.
