The desire for happiness is the motivation for people’s constant struggles. As an important part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, President Xi Jinping’s view of happiness, for which Marxist theories of human needs, labor and practice, and values have provided profound theoretical and philosophical guidance, embodies the unity of creation and enjoyment, material and spirit, and personal interests and social interests, and is the sublation and transcendence of the traditional Chinese view of happiness. It is also the innovation and development of Marxist view of happiness for a new era. Xi Jinping’s view of happiness not only has established the correct view of happiness, and provided scientific guidelines for the realization of happiness for Chinese people, especially the young generation, but also is the Chinese wisdom and plan for the Communist Party of China to contribute to the cause of human liberation and happiness in the new era.
