《习近平谈治国理政》法译本中的典籍名言翻译

Translation of the Classic Dictums in the French Version of The Governance of China

典籍名言是政治文献的重要组成部分,有着不可忽视的修辞功能、语篇功能和交际功能。《习近平谈治国理政》中使用的典籍名言在新时代被赋予新的价值和意义,彰显了高度的文化自信,但也成为翻译难点之一。本文以《习近平谈治国理政》中法译本为平行语料库,分析书中典籍名言的法译实例,发现译者从政治文献的文本特征出发,以句法/语法策略为主,语义和语用策略为辅,较好地完成了翻译任务。

Classic dictums are considered an important part of political documents,fulfilling significant rhetorical,textual and communicative functions.In The Governance of China,classic dictums are conferred novel values and meanings of the new era,exuding a high level of cultural confidence.However,such dictums represent also a big challenge in political documents translation.Using the Chinese and French versions of The Governance of China as a parallel corpus,this article offers an analysis of the actual practice of the translation of the dictums and finds that the translators have primarily deployed syntactic-grammatical strategies and supplemented them with semantic and pragmatic strategies,always in light of the textual features of the political document.
