廖乾五是中国共产党早期优秀政治军事干部,曾任建国陆海军大元帅府铁甲车队政治部主任(后任党代表)、国民革命军第四军十二师政治部主任,第四军党代表兼政治部代主任、主任。大革命时期廖乾五作为军队政治工作者,进行了一系列富有成效的革命军队政治工作探索和实践,初步形成了开展军队政治工作的若干思想和原则,对铁甲车队及国民革命军第四军各项政治工作制度的建立及发展作出了卓越贡献。深入研究大革命时期廖乾五军队政治工作实践,对于恢复和发扬我军政治工作的优良传统,开创新时代军队政治工作新局面具有重要启示意义。

Liao Qianwu is an outstanding political and military cadre of the Communist Party of China in the early stage.He has served as the director of the political department(later party representative)of the army and navy of Jianguo,the director of the political department of the 12th Division of the fourth Army of the National Revolutionary Army,the representative of the fourth Army and the acting director and director of the political department.As a political worker in the army during the Great Revolution,he carried out active and fruitful exploration and practice in the political work of the revolutionary army,initially formed some ideas and principles for carrying out military political work,and made outstanding contributions to the establishment and development of the political work system of the iron arm our motorcade and the fourth Army of the National Revolutionary Army.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the achievements of Liao Qianwu’s practice of military political work during the Great Revolution to restore and carry forward the fine tradition of our army’s political work and to create a new situation of military political work in the new era.
