碑刻是前人记载时人时事的手段之一,是研究社会历史发展演变的宝贵资料。苏州作为历史文化名城,碑刻的史料价值历来受到重视。在众多的碑刻中,有许多具有社会教化功能的碑刻,其中既有私人性的民间碑刻,也有具有官方背景的公务性碑刻文书。这些碑刻中蕴含的信息,对当前廉政宣传和警示教育工作具有积极的启示作用:要善于用大家“爱听的”语言讲述案例;要通过既发案例总结规律,实现查处一案、教育一片、治理一线、规范一方;要学会用最省的语言、最新的格调,反映最精彩的世界、最丰富的生活。

Stele inscription is one means by our predecessors to record current affairs,which provides valuable data for investigation of historical development and social evolution.As Suzhou is one of the famous cultural cities,the inscriptions have always been taken seriously for their historical values.Numerous inscriptions prove to be socially enlightening,be they private ones or official ones.Lessons can be drawn from such inscriptions for the promotion of clean governance and integrity education:efforts must be made to explain cases with pleasing languages;patterns are to be found out of existing cases for each of them to educate a certain kind of individuals,to treat a certain kind of posts,and to regulate a certain area;concise languages are to be applied with latest styles to reflect the most wonderful society and the most rigorous life.
