Correlation among type Ⅱ diabetes, hypertension and osteoporosis

Ⅱ型糖尿病(type 2 diabetes mellitus, T2DM)、高血压和骨质疏松均是中老年患者的常见病和多发病,关于T2DM和高血压影响骨密度的相关机制说法不一,以往的研究推测T2DM和高血压通过多种机制影响中老年患者骨密度。对于T2DM合并高血压是否会加深这种影响暂无准确结论,本文对国内外现有的成果进行综述并期待更多研究验证这种相关性。

Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM), hypertension and osteoporosis are common and prevalent diseases in middle-aged and elderly. There are different opinions about the mechanism of T2DM and hypertension affecting bone mineral density. Previous studies are speculated that T2DM and hypertension affect the bone mineral density of middle-aged and elderly by a variety of mechanisms. However,there is no a consensus on whether T2DM combined with hypertension will deepen the effect on bone metabolism up to now. We summarize the current research results and look forward to more studies to verify this correlation.
