摘要
幂律特征是自然科学与社会科学领域的一种常见现象,这种现象不仅表现在现象的上尾部分,也会表现在现象的下尾部分,与帕累托分布能够反映现象的上尾特征一样,反向帕累托分布则可以准确描述现象的下尾特征。文章探讨了反向帕累托分布的统计推断问题,通过2010年我国655个城市人口规模的案例,证明了中小城市人口规模可以使用反向帕累托分布进行拟合。
Power law characteristic is a common phenomenon in the field of both natural science and social science.This phenomenon is not only reflected in its upper tail,but also in its lower tail.Just as the Pareto distribution can reflect the upper tail characteristics of the phenomenon,the reverse Pareto distribution can accurately describe the lower tail characteristics of the phenomenon.This paper discusses the statistical inference of reverse Pareto distribution,and employs the case of population size of655 cities in China in 2010 to prove that the population size of small and medium-sized cities can be fitted by reverse Pareto distribution.
