Green Development,Techno-Humanities,and Interdisciplinary Thinking:An Interview with Jin Yong

院士跨界高端访谈栏目旨在探索面向未来的科技人文问题。本期访谈中国工程院院士、清华大学化学工程系金涌教授,围绕绿色发展、科技人文与跨学科思维等问题而展开。金涌教授认为,人类文明的发展离不开科学技术,现代文明离不开化学与化学工程。目前我国化学化工产业存在的短板是缺乏颠覆性创新。科学创新的本质是学科交叉,中国要想从工业社会转向智能化社会,需要在诸多高新技术领域有所突破。近年来,科学技术在推动社会经济发展的同时,也给自然生态带来了一些负面影响,以碳中和为目标,循环经济、生态文明和绿色发展的结合成为了实现可持续发展、高质量双循环新发展格局的必经之路。科技的发展也离不开人文的指引,人文素养对科学研究至关重要。

The Column of Transdisciplinary Top Interview with Academicians aims to explore future-oriented issues in science,technology,and humanities.This interview with Jin Yong,academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor of Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University,focuses on issues such as green development,techno-humanities,and interdisciplinary thinking.Professor Jin believes that the development of human civilization cannot be separated from science and technology,and modern civilization is closely related to chemistry and chemical engineering.At present,the shortcoming of China's chemical industry is the lack of disruptive innovation.The essence of scientific innovation is interdisciplinary.If China would like to change from an industrial society to an intelligent society,it needs to make breakthroughs in many high-tech fields.In recent years,while promoting social and economic development,science and technology have also brought some negative impacts on natural ecology.With the goal of carbon neutrality,the combination of circular economy,ecological civilization,and green development has become the only way to realize the development pattern of sustainable development and high-quality dual circulation.The development of science and technology is also inseparable from the guidance of humanities,and humanistic quality is of vital importance for scientific research.
