The use of reiterative locution is a noticeable sign of Xintianyou in Shanbei folk songs.Together with the features of xing and couplet constitutes three typical characteristics of Xintianyou.It can be used to mimic sounds,describe objects,express personal emotions,and adjust or change the rhythm,which demonstrates a high aesthetic value.In line with the traditional values of reiterative locution in Classic of Poetry,reiterative locution of Xintianyou has a long history.With the development of society and language,the extension and emotionalization of noun reiterative locution and the affixation of adjective reiterative locution have formed two major characteristics of reiterative locution used in Xintianyou.The expansion of Xintianyou to the modern version of Xiao Diao of Shanbei folk songs has become a trend,icing on the cake.From the perspective of development,such expansion will be a way for the future advance of Xintianyou.
