Research progress in rotavirus subunit vaccines

轮状病毒(RV)是全球5岁以下儿童严重腹泻的主要病原体。目前尚无治疗RV的特效药,疫苗是预防和控制RV感染最有效的手段。已上市的RV疫苗在低收入国家疫苗效力低。因此发展新型非复制型亚单位疫苗对于降低低收入国家RV的发病率和死亡率有重要意义。我们就目前RV亚单位疫苗的研究进展进行综述。

Rotaviruses(RV) is the main pathogen of acute diarrhea in children under 5 years old in the world. There is no specific drug to treat RV,and vaccines are the most effective means to prevent and control RV infection. However,the commercial RV vaccines are ineffective in some low-income countries. Therefore,the development of novel non-replicative subunit vaccines is important for reducing the incidence and mortality of RV in low-income countries. The paper reviews the research progress in RV subunit vaccines.
