摘要
美国艺术史学者安妮.达勒瓦所撰《艺术史方法与理论》一书,对近年来艺术史研究的现状进行了反思。该书以具体艺术作品的案例分析切入,尝试引导一般读者如何对艺术作品的表面形象、隐喻系统、文化价值及历史意义等内容进行提问;同时,对艺术作品意义创造另一主体的观者如何“阅读”艺术作品的形式、方法及其语境展开研究。这种以驱动一般读者参与艺术史的实践变革为诉求的主张,有助于探寻艺术史研究的多维方法及其理论视角,对当今艺术史研究颇有启示意义。
The book Methods and Theory of Art History written by American art historian Anne D’Alleva reflects on the current state of art history research in recent years. The book uses case analysis of specific works of art,and tries to guide general readers on how to ask questions about the image,metaphor system,cultural value,and historical significance of works of art;at the same time,research is conducted on how the viewers who create another subject about the meaning of works of art"read"the form,method and context of those works. This kind of proposition that drives general readers to participate in the practical changes of art history is helpful in exploring the multi-dimensional methods and theoretical perspectives of art history research and quite enlightening for recent research on art history.
