摘要
加拿大渥太华大学法语沉浸流项目(French Immersion Stream,以下简称FIS项目),贯彻以学科内容为依托的教学模式,在学科学习的同时,促进学生法语学习,取得了令人满意的教学效果,对全世界双语外语教育起着引领和示范作用。介绍了FIS项目的发展历程和具体内容,并在此基础上分析了项目成功的原因,如加拿大稳定的语言政策,渥太华大学一系列鼓励措施的运用,项目的持续发展和结合项目的学术研究等。但渥太华大学FIS项目在具体推行过程中也面临着一些挑战。
The French Immersion Stream(FIS) at the University of Ottawa in Canada implements content-based language teaching. Students are able to improve their French proficiency in addition to their discipline learning in this program, which leads to satisfactory learning achievements. It plays a leading and exemplary role in bilingual foreign language education all over the world. This paper introduces the history and content of FIS, and tries to offer reasons for the success of this program. The reasons include the stable language policy of Canada and the use of a series of encouraging incentives, the continuous development of the program and the program-related researches in the university.
