巴黎吉美博物馆藏王重民致伯希和书信四通考释

Textual Research on Four Newly Found Letters from Wang Zhongmin to Paul Pelliot Collected in Musée Guimet

1934-1939年,王重民作为交换馆员,主要工作之一是整理法国国家图书馆伯希和特藏中的金石拓片和沙畹捐赠的拓片,并编纂目录。王重民就拓片编目过程中存在的问题,以书信的方式与伯希和商讨,这些书信保存在巴黎吉美博物馆藏伯希和档案中,其中4封信函未见披露。考释书信内容,有助于更加全面地了解《伯希和拓片典藏目录》的编纂过程,以及王重民的目录学理念,并对域外汉籍书目的编写具有借鉴意义。

One of the main tasks for Wang Zhongmin,who worked as an exchange librarian at the National Library of France from 1934 to 1939,was to organize and compile a catalogue of the stone and brass rubbings in Paul Pelliot’s collection and the rubbings donated by Emmanuel-Édouard Chavannes there.Wang corresponded with Paul Pelliot and discussed the cataloging process with him.Four of Wang’s letters are kept in the Archives of Paul Pelliot in the Musée Guimet in Paris and have not been disclosed before.The content of these letters is helpful for understanding more about the compilation process of The Catalogue of Paul Pelliot’s Rubbings,as well as Wang Zhongmin’s bibliographic thoughts.His thoughts can enlighten the compilation of overseas Chinese book catalogs.
